Putting your extra garden produce to good use.
The Community Food Bank of Grand Junction is excited to be partnering with Fresh Food Connect to make donating homegrown produce easier.
The Fresh Food Connect mobile app allows home gardeners to easily arrange for extra produce to be picked up from their doorstep by the Community Food Bank. To get started:
Download and register through the Fresh Food Connect application.
Identify what kind of and how much produce you have.
Select a pickup date and time.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 as often as you can donate!
The application also allows gardeners to track the impact of their donations throughout the year.
Gardeners, and any food donors, are still encouraged to drop off produce donations at the Community Food Bank pantry Monday - Friday between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m.
